On June 28, 2000 Leah disappeared. The community searched and searched for five long weeks. On August 3, 2000 Leah’s slain little body was found approximately nine miles from home. She had been murdered. The only information Leah’s family has been given to date regarding her tragic death is that it was the result of “homicidal violence.” They have not been given a detailed cause of death. The cause of death, as listed on Leah's death certificate, is “pending investigation.” To this day her murder remains unsolved. Please look at Leah's website for more on her and her picture. www.leahfreeman.com/

Investigators and family both believe that there are those in the area who know what happened and won't come forward. Now a new organization, the Coquille Valley Crime Stoppers, is raising money for a reward to entice someone to do so, saying sometimes money can open doors that otherwise won't open. www.kcby.com/news/22796459.html Here also is a link to Leah's new site: www.leahfreeman.com/

The Team was created through a meeting between myself and them just discussing Leah's case. The reward that is there ($5,000) was given by a family member who has always wished to remain anonymous. The Crimestoppers are interested in local murder cases such as Leah's and Jeremy Bright's. Coos County area. I apologize....I should have said in the beginning that I am Leah's Mom. I would also like to thank you for posting Leah's case here!
