www.canoncitydailyrecord.com/ci_22110078/dad-its-wait-wonderVALLECITO — Dylan Redwine's half-smile is everywhere in the Pine River Valley. Missing fliers with the 13-year-old's picture are affixed to road signs, pinned to bulletin boards, stuck in car windows, flashing on digital sign boards and displayed on businesses' entrance doors — sometimes two or three at a time, just in case someone might miss one. One flier is taped to the front door of the small, sage-green house where Dylan was last seen and where his father, Mark Redwine, now hunches over on a couch, his eyes reddening as he considers dire possibilities nearly two weeks after Dylan went missing.

The family of Dylan Redwine may never know how the Monument teen died. Redwine, 13, went missing while visiting his father in the mountain town of Vallecito in southwest Colorado during Thanksgiving break. Human remains found along a rugged road near his father's home last month were identified last week as Dylan's. "So far, the items that have been found are not enough to make an actual cause of death or manner of death," La Plata County Coroner Jann Smith said in a telephone message. "Until investigation goes a little further, we may not know exactly what happened to Dylan."
