New London Police are investigating a report that a man approached a 13-year-old girl waiting for a school bus Monday. She told police the man offered her money to go with him.
Police say the incident took place at about 6:40 a.m., at a bus stop on Montauk Avenue at Mitchell Court. The man is described as Hispanic, with a heavy accent, five-foot-two with a medium build, in his forties or fifties. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, dark gray polo-style shirt and jeans. No vehicle was seen.
Police ask anyone with information to call New London Police at (860) 447-5269."
