Specifically, I read an article about 5 years ago that had been posted online some time before I read it. A person had been pulled over by a police officer for speeding and claimed to be Jon Dabkowski. This prompted a retelling of some of the facts of the disappearance. There was an area along a river where the ice had been shattered and it's presumed that the boys fell through. At the time of the article, the investigating police officer at the the time of the disappearance has been involved with Jon's mother.
